Blessed Trinity’s Music Ministry is called each week to enable the assembly to lift their voices in praise to God and to enhance our Spirit-filled celebrations of the Eucharist!
Our Adult Choir members meet for rehearsal one night each week from September until Pentecost. New choir members must take the time to meet with our Music Director, and demonstrate the ability to sing in tune, and to sing their part independently against other choral parts. The ability to read music is definitely a plus! In addition to the Sunday 10am Mass, we also sing for our parish Christmas Concert, the Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, Holy Thursday, and the Easter Vigil.
Our Youth Choir meets immediately prior to their Mass each weekend to rehearse. They also sing for the Christmas Concert, Youth Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, Confirmation, and other major parish liturgies when possible.
Our Children’s Choir meets for rehearsal one night each week from September until May. They also sing for the Christmas Concert and a Christmas Eve Mass.
Cantors are chosen from within the choirs and must be regularly participating members of one or more of the choirs.
All choir members must be able to attend at least 3/4 of the rehearsals throughout the choir season and strive to not miss back-to-back rehearsals, as we are usually working on pieces over the span of several weeks and need to have the continuity of regular practice together.
Instrumentalists must have the ability to play in any given key signature, to transpose on sight, and to sightread music.
Please feel free to introduce yourself to us after any Mass if you have an interest in being a part of the Blessed Trinity Music Ministry!
